Granite jobs focus on roles that cut, install, and repair granite products. Depending on your job, you may be asked to support sales by explaining the different types of granite to a customer, use AutoCAD software to plan the construction, or work with a contractor on the job site to ensure you install everything properly. Many contractors use granite for countertops because of its durability and resistance to heat, but you can also use it to make building stones, tiles, paths, memorials, and street curbing. Many jobs that use granite also work with other materials, such as quartz and marble. Outside of installation roles, most granite jobs focus on quarrying it from mines or transporting slabs to processing facilities.
