Psychiatrist - Inpatient - Queens, NY | Flushing Hospital Medical Center
Institution: Flushing Hospital Medical Center (MediSys Health Network)
Status: Full-Time (6 openings)
Location: Flushing, Queens, NYC
Salary: Starting at $300,000/year (DOE) + full benefits
Flushing Hospital Medical Center is seeking Board-eligible or Board-certified Inpatient Psychiatrists to join our comprehensive behavioral health program in Queens, NY.
Our inpatient services include an 18-bed psychiatric unit, a 30-bed medically managed detox unit (the only one in Queens), and outpatient and community-based programs. You will provide high-quality psychiatric care, participate in resident and medical student education, and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Manage medications and provide psychotherapy
  • Handle acute psychiatric crises, including psychosis and suicidal ideation
  • Collaborate with social workers, nurses, and therapists to ensure comprehensive care
  • Participate in teaching and mentorship of residents and medical students
