We serve all sizes of commercial mechanical companies across the U.S. with end user clients that include many top Fortune 100 companies. Projects include data centers, semiconductor and EV battery manufacturers, universities, health care facilities, and district energy systems.


Position Overview: A Senior Technician at PurgeRite is a critical leadership role responsible for leading mechanical flushing and hydronic system projects from inception to completion. This role ensures the safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of projects, including proper system balancing, effective pre-commissioning cleaning, and compliance with PurgeRite Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and industry best practices. The Senior Technician supervises and mentors field teams, upholds PurgeRite’s stringent safety and quality standards, manages project documentation, coordinates with customers, and ensures successful project outcomes. This position is mission-critical to our existing and future service implementations.


Responsibilities:

· Pre-Job Preparation Phase:

o Lead safety planning: conduct pre-job meetings and hazard assessments (JHAs).

o Verify project scope, review flush plans, and ensure equipment/parts readiness through inspections and checks.

o Oversee safe loading and complete/upload all required pre-job documentation.

o Perform thorough pre-job inspections of all flushing and hydronic system equipment (pumps, hoses, valves, gauges, etc.) for safety and functionality. Verify parts lists are accurate, complete, and approved; ensure all supplies and equipment are ready.

· During Job Execution Phase:

o Actively lead and supervise on-site flushing crew, ensuring adherence to planned procedures, parameters (pressure, flow rate, duration), PurgeRite SOPs, and safety regulations.

o Coordinate and operate a diverse crew effectively through on-the-job training, technical assistance, coaching, and guidance to crew members and new technicians on flushing processes.

o Troubleshoot operational/equipment issues (flushing/hydronic systems) effectively. Proactively identify and resolve operational issues, equipment malfunctions, or process deviations.

o Manage customer communication and expectations on-site.

o Oversee and review daily progress/safety reporting (EOS). Review EOS reports daily to identify progress, safety concerns, equipment issues, trends, or potential problems, taking immediate corrective action as needed.

· Post-Job Closeout Phase:

o Ensure accurate completion of final flush reports (incl. system readings, water quality). Ensure accuracy and adherence to PurgeRite standards.

o Supervise final system inspection, verify proper system balancing has been achieved per project requirements, and safe return to service.

o Manage post-job equipment cleaning, inspection, maintenance reporting, and storage.

o Supervise the thorough clean-up of the work area, ensuring proper disposal of waste materials according to environmental and safety guidelines, and removal of temporary setups.Ensure all final documentation is completed and archived correctly.

o Ensure all final project documentation (flush reports, EOS reports, sign-offs) is accurately completed, uploaded, organized, and accessible for review or audit.

o Lead post-job debrief sessions with the crew to discuss successes, challenges, safety observations, and lessons learned to improve future project performance.

Requirements:

Preferred Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent required plus one-year practical training or education in field-related projects.

· Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License within 6 months of employment.

· Ability to adjust to changing priorities and thrive in a dynamic environment.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with team members, clients, and stakeholders.

· Demonstrated understanding of mechanical systems and mechanical aptitude.

· Ability to implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.

Work Environment/ Conditions: In the performance of the job duties, the employee will work in a variety of environments including construction sites, schools, hospitals etc. This position will primarily work outside in all types of weather conditions and environments including but is not limited to wet/ or humid conditions, very warm climates and cold climates. Employee must be able to lift and or move up to 80 pounds. Must be able to stand for an extended amount of time.
