We are seeking a hands-on, results-driven leader to serve as a Commercial Truck Center Manager—someone who not only leads the team but also works alongside it to deliver exceptional service and operational excellence.


Position Overview

This is a working manager role responsible for leading daily operations while actively participating in shop and service activities. The Commercial Truck Center Manager oversees sales, service, team leadership, customer relationships, inventory management, safety compliance, and financial performance.

This position requires a strong leader who is comfortable rolling up their sleeves—supporting technicians, assisting with service work when needed, and ensuring the operation runs efficiently every day.


Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Operations

  • Lead and manage all daily operations of the commercial truck center
  • Supervise service technicians, sales staff, warehouse personnel, and drivers
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and customer service
  • Schedule staff and manage workflow to maximize efficiency and productivity
  • Step in to assist with hands-on work as needed to support team performance

Hands-On / Working Manager Expectations

  • Actively support shop operations during busy periods or staffing gaps
  • Assist with mounting, dismounting, and handling commercial truck tires
  • Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and moving heavy truck tires
  • Lead by example by maintaining a strong work ethic and positive attitude

Customer & Sales Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with commercial fleet customers
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in the local market
  • Ensure outstanding customer service and timely resolution of concerns
  • Support outside sales efforts and grow fleet accounts
  • Monitor pricing, margins, and profitability to meet company goals

Financial & Inventory Oversight

  • Manage inventory levels to ensure product availability
  • Monitor expenses, labor efficiency, and financial performance
  • Maintain accurate receiving, purchasing, and inventory control processes
  • Review KPIs and operational reports to drive improvements

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, DOT regulations, and OSHA standards
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Conduct regular safety meetings and training
  • Oversee equipment maintenance and facility upkeep

Qualifications

  • Previous management experience in commercial tires, trucking, automotive, or a related field preferred
  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • Willingness to work in a hands-on, physically active role
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy truck tires
  • Excellent communication and customer relationship skills
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with computer systems and operational reporting
  • Valid driver’s license required; CDL is a plus
