Job description

Department Overview

The full-time annual base salary range for this position is $425,000-$527,988; commensurate with experience and rank. Base pay does not include incentive pay, hiring bonuses, or additional benefits such as retirement contributions. 

The Knight Cardiovascular Institute (KCVI) is recognized as a top integrated center for cardiovascular clinical care, translational research and professional training in all aspects of heart and vascular disease. Guided by a multi-disciplinary approach, researchers and clinicians drive a vibrant translational research program, which focuses on delivering the latest knowledge and cutting-edge care to patients. Specifically, research at KCVI seeks to improve patient outcomes by achieving earlier diagnosis of disease, more accurate monitoring of its progression, and tailoring therapy to the molecular basis of disease.

Function/Duties of Position

The duties of this position include:

  • Clinical: 80% of this position is dedicated to providing patient assessment and care in KCVI's Adult Congenital Heart Disease and General Cardiology program. This position will be required to take a fair share of call. 
  • Education: OHSU is a teaching institution and this faculty member is expected to provide mentorship and direction to students, residents, and fellows. The Graduate Program Director will provide specific assignments.
  • Research: There may be options for you to explore research opportunities in your area of focus. Administrative support is available for grant submission, financial management and clinical trials support. Please share your research interests during the interview process.
  • Administration: Administrative duties may be assigned to this position in support of Institute initiatives and faculty development.
Required Qualifications
  • Licensed MD
  • Board Certified in Cardiology
  • Active DEA licensure
