Job description

As an Interior Designer II, you will shape thoughtful interior environments from early concept through documentation and construction support. You will collaborate across disciplines, guide design decisions, and help bring creative, functional spaces to life for our clients. You will also play a visible role in presentations, team coordination, and growing trusted client relationships.

Deliver Results
  • Lead interior design work across programming, concept development, schematic design, design development, and documentation.
  • Create space plans, material palettes, finish selections, and presentation content that align with client goals, budget, and schedule.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, vendors, and contractors to deliver cohesive design solutions.
  • Prepare and develop drawing sets in Revit and AutoCAD with a strong understanding of constructability and design intent.
  • Present ideas clearly to clients and project teams while helping build strong, lasting relationships.
  • Review project work for code compliance, QA/QC standards, and alignment with Progressive Companiesโ€™ Performance Based Design approach.
  • Support team growth by mentoring junior staff and contributing to business development and cross-team collaboration.
Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Interior Design, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 8+ years of post-graduate interior design experience.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience producing design and construction documents, coordinating project phases, and working with building codes and QA/QC processes.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual design ability, rendering, and/or hand sketching, and built project experience.

Preferred

  • NCIDQ certification.
  • State licensure where applicable.
  • WELL AP, LEED, CSI-CDT, IIDA, and/or ASID affiliation.
  • Experience mentoring team members and supporting client presentations or business development efforts.
