Job Responsibilities
Leads client relationship from initial assessment of client needs through project delivery
Manages multiple projects of various sizes in Commercial Interiors, Worplace, Federal, and Goverment Projects.
Prepares documents and supporting materials in compliance with periodic contract reporting requirements

Project Management
Prepares fee proposals and successfully negotiates fees
Solicits, negotiates, and manages consultant contracts
Manages projects from inception through contract administration
Oversees risk management planning, identifying potential issues and developing mitigation strategies.
Ensures adherence to budget and schedule requirements.
Manages billing and collections for assigned projects.
Establishes and maintains quality control/quality assurance plans
Coordinate all aspects of interface with stakeholder groups
Coordinate all aspects of interface with Owner review process
Manages projects to profitability
Leads integration of sustainability and resiliency principles
Champions BIM standards and digital collaboration tools, ensuring team alignment

Design, Production, Coordination and Documentation
Works with design and technical teams to shape design concepts
Coordinates engineering work to ensure compliance with design concept
Coordinates with Senior technical staff and design staff to facilitate technical solutions
Creates Contract Documents
Coordinate CDs to ensure compliance with firm standards, codes and standards and ADA requirements
For smaller projects may oversee production or create all schematic, DD and CD documents
Leads construction administration efforts and coordinates industry partners and consultants

Marketing and Business Development
Identifies and pursues new business opportunities with existing and potential clients.
Participates in marketing strategy sessions and presentations
Ensure positive relationships resulting in additional business or referred work

Mentoring
Assign tasks, oversee work and provide feedback to staff

Education, Work Experience, and Leadership
Graduate of architecture or interior design school: equivalent experience may be substituted
8-12+ years' experience producing design projects including 5+ years managing projects
Registration required: Must be a Licensed Architect or Interior Designer
Federal security clearance preferred, eligibility required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Comprehensive knowledge of materials, furnishings and construction methods related to interior architecture
Experience with building design and envelope detailing a plus
Comprehensive knowledge of building systems, codes and ADA requirements
Proven ability to write and negotiate contracts for services, consultants and contractors
Proven ability to solve contract and administration issues within the established design context
Demonstrated ability to manage and lead all levels of staff
Advanced verbal and written communication skills

Familiarity with workplace and federal procurement processes and design standards
