The Impact You'll Have:

Alliant Engineering has a great opportunity for a Graduate Civil Engineer at our Minneapolis office. As a Graduate Engineer, you will have the ability to be a part of a cohesive Land Development Engineering team. Jump start your career by working on a range of projects from residential communities for national and local developers to a diverse scale of commercial and industrial projects.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design and development of residential, commercial, and industrial land development projects
  • Prepare construction plans, specifications, and supporting documentation using AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Participate in site layout, grading, stormwater management, utility design, and erosion control calculations
  • Collaborate with project engineers, planners, and other team members to support project goals and timelines
  • Conduct research and analysis of data such as zoning ordinances, site surveys, and environmental reports
  • Assist in preparing permit applications and coordinating with local and state agencies
  • Support project documentation, coordination, and communication with clients and consultants
  • Participate in field visits to observe construction activities and ensure compliance with design specifications, if desired


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
  • 0-4 years of experience land development design or construction management is preferred
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving capabilities, organization and multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent technical, written and oral communication skills
  • Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D software

The base pay for this position is expected to be in the range of $70,000 - $80,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
