JOBDETAILS:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Demonstrated knowledge of and adherence to all applicable NCAA and conference compliance rules and regulations.

• Assist in supporting compliance with applicable university, conference, and NCAA policies and regulations, including areas such as student-athlete eligibility, recruiting activities, financial aid procedures, scheduling, and academic progress.

• Abides by NCAA Bylaws 10.1 and 11.1regardingethical conduct and the responsibility to positively contribute to a campus culture of NCAA rules compliance.

• Responsible for promoting a positive academic environment to encourage all athletes to strive for academic excellence.

• Assistin preparing and executing practice and game plans, strategies and alternatives which are designed to bring success to the program.

• Support and encourage student-athletes in their athletic, academic, and personal development. Assist in maintaining a safe and positive environment that promotes student-athlete well-being and success.

• Establishing andmaintainingcommunity contacts, whichenhancethe success of the program.

• Assistingin the purchase,maintenanceand inventory of uniforms and equipment.

• Assistin directing and managing the recruiting efforts of the program.

• Assistin designing andimplementing offseason training programs for student-athletes.

• Assistin all fundraising needs for the program.

• Maintainappropriate communicationswith student-athletes and parents.

• Assistin the planning of banquets, fund raisingeffortsand other activities which promote the program.

• Assist in managing travel arrangements for the team.

• Assistwith promoting,operatingand coordinating summer camps.

• Perform related and other duties as assigned by Head Coachand Athletic Administration

• Assistin occasional facilities and event operations as assigned by the Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities and Events.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:

Supervision is received fromthe Head Women'sFlag Football Coach.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree

• Currently admitted to a graduate program or eligible and intending to apply upon accepting the offer.

• Knowledge and understanding of NCAA rules and regulations

• Ability tomaintainconfidentiality.

• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without accommodation.

• Willingness to travel and work nights and weekends.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Exceptional leadership skills.

• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong desireand ability to successfully recruit

• Strong follow-through skills, as well as the ability to plan, organize, and control projectsthroughcompletion.

• Experience coaching or participation in collegiate levelfootball.

TUITION ELIGIBILITY & TAX IMPLICATIONS:

Graduate Assistantships include a tuition and fee waiver of up to12 credit hours per semester(maximum 30 per academic year), funded by the SVSU central budget.

Full-time enrollment (9 credits or more) isrequiredin the Fall and Winter semesters, with minimal exceptions available.Less than full-time enrollment is allowed in the final semester for completion or for programs that do not offer full-time enrollment

All tuition/fee waivers will be reportable as taxable income per IRS regulations. Employees should consult a tax advisor for guidance.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• All work associated with this role must be performed within the state of Michigan.

• Work is performed in a coaching, athletic, competitive indoor/outdoorenvironment.

• Weeknightsand weekends,including travel,willberequired.
