The Assistant Football Coach serves as a key member of the football program and assists the Head Coach in all aspects of operating a successful NCAA Division II program. Responsibilities include recruiting, player development, academic monitoring, game preparation, practice planning, scouting, compliance, and administrative duties while supporting the mission and values of the institution and the athletic department.Â
Essential Job Functions:Â
- Assist the Head Coach with daily operations of the football program.Â
- Conduct individual and group skill development workouts.Â
- Assist with practice planning, scouting reports, film breakdown, and game preparation.Â
- Support recruiting efforts in accordance with NCAA Division II rules and regulations.Â
- Monitor and encourage academic success, personal growth, and student-athlete accountability.Â
- Assist with team travel coordination, equipment management, and operational needs.Â
- Drive university-issued vehicles for team travel, recruiting activities, camps, and other program-related responsibilities while adhering to all university transportation policies.Â
- Assist with organizing camps, clinics, community outreach events, and fundraising initiatives.Â
- Maintain knowledge of and comply with NCAA, conference, and institutional policies and procedures.Â
- Serve as a positive representative of the university and department.Â
