The Athletic Team

Relationships are foundational for our athletic teams just as they are in the classroom at Mount Vernon. By prioritizing the connections built between coaches and our student-athletes, we create an environment of support, encouragement, and accountability that allows our students to achieve their athletic goals beyond what they ever imagined for themselves. More than 80% of our Upper and Middle School students participate in athletics. Community Coaches at Mount Vernon play an integral role in shaping student-athletes through skill development, mentorship, and teamwork. Coaches are part of a collaborative coaching team, partnering with colleagues and communicating with parents to foster growth both on and off the field. This is a position that is important to the culture of the school and has the opportunity to build on the successes of Mount Vernon's athletic program and be a part of the momentum as we continue our Let's Do This Campaign.
