Position Summary
Are you passionate about soccer and ready to start your coaching career? As a Men's Soccer Graduate Assistant Coach, you'll have the opportunity to work closely with student-athletes, assist in practice planning and skill development, and gain valuable experience in a competitive collegiate environment. If you're looking to enhance your coaching skills while earning your graduate degree, this role offers the ideal balance of hands-on experience and academic growth!
The Graduate Assistant Coach is responsible for working alongside the Head Coach to manage the men's soccer program and the student-athletes in the best interest of Doane University and in accordance with all the rules of the NAIA and the GPAC Conference.
This position starts August 3, 2026

An annual $6,750 stipend is provided, reduced to $5,000 if you live on campus, which includes a single bedroom in Frees Hall and a commuter meal plan of five meals per week plus $200 Doane Dollars per semester.
Minimum Required Qualifications
  • Must qualify for acceptance into a Doane graduate program
  • Bachelor's degree with competition or coaching experience at the collegiate level.
  • General knowledge of sport, including rules, techniques, and strategies.
  • The ability to diligently and effectively recruit and retain student-athletes
  • Ability to teach and develop student-athletes
  • Character Requirements:
    • Proven record of integrity, high principles, and demonstrated skill in developing and motivating student-athletes academically and athletically.
    • Must recognize that they are always a representative of the program and must consistently demonstrate positive coaching behavior.
  • Organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Valid driver's license and driving record acceptable to the college's automobile insurance provider and ability to obtain certification to drive a Doane full-size minivan once hired.
