DEPARTMENT: Athletics

UNIVERSITY MISSION: To educate Christians who will make a difference in the world for Jesus Christ.

LOCATION: Corban Universityโ€™s 220+ acre campus is situated on a hillside forest setting overlooking the Willamette Valley, just minutes from the heart of Salem, Oregonโ€™s capital city. The rugged coast awaits only an hourโ€™s drive to the west. To the east is the mountainous Cascade Range. Portland, the stateโ€™s largest city, is less than an hour away and is home to cultural museums, parks, shopping, and restaurants.

POSITION SUMMARY: This candidate pool accepts applications for potential openings for Assistant Coaches that may arise throughout the year and is not a guarantee of a position. Assistant Coaches may be hired in one of the following areas, including:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: The Assistant Coach is responsible for assisting in all aspects of the assigned program as defined by the head coach, including spiritual, academic, and athletic development.

โ€ข Assist leading the program in practice and games under the direction of the Head Coach.

โ€ข Assist with practice and player development.

โ€ข Fundraising.

โ€ข Academic monitoring.

โ€ข Game management.

โ€ข Working camps and field maintenance.

EDUCATION:

โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree in Physical Education, Exercise Science, Sports Management, or related field.

โ€ข Collegiate or professional playing experience is required.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

โ€ข Experience coaching at the collegiate level.

โ€ข Masterโ€™s degrees will be given special consideration.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

โ€ข Possess strong organizational skills, work ethic, and willingness to work flexible hours.

โ€ข Ability to work effectively with collegiate student athletes and be committed to developing as a coach.

โ€ข Strong motivational skills.
