JOB DESCRIPTION:
Conroe ISD is accepting applications for Elementary Bilingual Teachers, Pre-K to Sixth grade.Provide bilingual students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable bilingual students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: EXPERIENCE:
Certified and highly qualified to teach grade level and subject area(s). Will consider alternative certification candidates who have passed the appropriate content area TExES test(s).
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
  • Bachelor's degree from accredited university
  • Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject and level assigned to include bilingual certification

Special Knowledge/Skills:
  • Knowledge of subjects assigned
  • General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
  • General knowledge of second language acquisition and cross-linguistic instructions practices
  • Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to fluently communicate (i.e. speak, read and write) in Spanish
