Job description

Total Seed Production is looking for a qualified Diesel Technician/Ag Shop mechanic.

The qualified candidate must have:

  • Strong mechanical ability
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of repairing or replacing all structural, body, and mechanic parts of a heavy-duty diesel truck.
  • Must be proficient with brakes, drivelines, and mechanical engine components on heavy-duty diesel trucks.
  • Experience working on farm machinery/equipment and/or Semi Tractor/Trailers
  • 12-volt electrical diagnostic/repair; DOT inspections
  • Hydraulic system diagnostic/repair
  • Basic computer and record-keeping skills are needed.

Other skills preferred but not required:

  • Experience with GPS installation/operations
  • Welding/repairing of farm machinery
  • Ability to operate farm/seed equipment
  • Heavy equipment operator.

Standard work hours are 7:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday thru Friday but must be willing and able to work long hours and weekends during peak seasons. Having a positive attitude, and the ability to work independently as well as part of the team is a must!
