Transportation Refrigeration Technician
Indianapolis IN Area
Interstate Utility Trailer is a full-service semi-trailer dealership specializing in semi-trailer sales and trailer maintenance and repair. We need a full-time professional with experience in roadside trailer repair. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and handle on-the-spot problems.
Are you a certified transportation refrigeration technician ?
Are you a mobile trailer technician or have diesel engine repair experience and want to advance?

Responsibilities for our Refrigeration / Reefer Tech
  • Diagnose and repair refrigeration units
  • Perform DOT inspections and make repairs
  • Read job orders, observe and listen to vehicles in operation to resolve malfunction, and plan work procedures.
  • Follow checklists ensuring all critical parts are examined.
  • Preventative Maintenance repairs on trailers
  • Attend training classes and keep tabs on factory technical bulletins.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers to increase overall customer happiness.
  • Properly complete the service and/or repairs assigned by the supervisor.
  • Complete all work according to the applicable safety requirements and published procedures.
  • Maintain your designated workspace in an organized and clean manner.
  • Ensure guest vehicles are returned as clean as they were prior to being serviced
  • Adhere to the manufacturer’s policies and procedures as they relate to labor operations, time, and repair order documentation when performing warranty repairs and torque specifications.
  • Any other duties as outlined by the Service Supervisor and or management.
Qualifications for our Refrigeration / Reefer Tech
  • Reefer experience or diesel engine repair experience
  • 608 and 609 Certifications or willing to obtain
  • Must be willing to submit to a background check and drug screen
  • Clean driving record
  • Teammate with a strong sense of dedication to the customer and service team
  • Self-motivated and professional
  • Must be able to work independently

  • Sitting, Standing, reaching for extended amounts of time
