Job Description

Business Technical Application Specialist-HVD Technical Lead required to oversee the vendor who is implementing on premise-based OITS services for application virtualization, desktop virtualization, and mobility managemen

Complete Description : The primary RESPONSIBILITIES of this position include the following:ย 


Provide technical oversight of the State's Vendor who is tasked to architect, build, implement, and operate solutions for application virtualization, desktop virtualization, and mobility management (both on premise and cloud-based).

Review and provide feedback on the Vendor developed technical deliverables, project implementation plans, test plans, disaster recovery plan, operational support models, manuals and other project documents.

Develop Service Offerings for application virtualization, desktop virtualization and mobility management including but not limited to technical specifications, demand forecasts, service costs, technical roadmaps, service rates, and service level agreements.

Assist with the development of service enablement programs and material for business users and technical staff and deliver service enablement sessions to agencies.

Prepare and conduct executive-level presentations of technical recommendations and new service offerings.

Ensure technical documentation is easy to understand by the intended audience

Utilize MS SharePoint as a project content repository


Qualifications

Experience in IT including implementation of commercially available off-the-shelf solutions (software, hardware, network infrastructure)

Experience in IT for both on premise and cloud-based desktop virtualization, application virtualization and mobility management solutions.

Experience in IT with federal and state government security and compliance requirements

Experience in a federal, state, city, county or local government service provider, manager role, service quantification, etc.

Develop process maps, drawings (e.g. network diagrams), specifications, memoranda of understanding, and service level agreements

High-level written communication skills and ability to produce high quality documentation

High-level oral communication skills

High level of competence with MS Word, MS Visio, other MS Office products and MS SharePoint

Ability to perform independent research

Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively

Ability to work as a member of a team

High attention to detail
