Job description

Position Title: Program Manager
This role is designed for experienced Program Managers who will take ownership of defense programs with full accountability for financials, schedules, delivery, and customer satisfaction. The position requires a leader capable of turnaround strategies in high-visibility, high-risk programs that are currently facing challenges. Candidates must be comfortable navigating complex environments, defending their strategies, and implementing solutions that will restore program health. The ideal individual will possess a strong technical background and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including senior leadership and customers. This position offers a unique opportunity to impact critical defense initiatives while working in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Salary Range: $160,000 - $190,000 / Year DOE
Program Manager Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all aspects of assigned programs, ensuring adherence to financial and schedule commitments
  • Engage with customers, including government program offices, to maintain transparency and address challenges
  • Lead cross-functional teams to achieve program objectives and deliverables
  • Develop and implement turnaround strategies for programs in distress
  • Prepare and present updates to senior leadership and stakeholders
  • Manage program budgets, ensuring compliance with financial targets
  • Facilitate clear communication across all levels of the organization

Program Manager Requirements:
  • Secret security clearance or ability to obtain one
  • Defense industry program management experience
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, with a preference for candidates with up to 10 years
  • Proven experience managing programs with budgets of at least $1 million
  • DOD experience is required
  • Technical background in engineering or related fields
  • Experience managing manufacturing production programs
  • Experience with struggling programs is preferred
  • Ability to demonstrate confidence in interviews without appearing overly assertive is preferred
  • A degree in engineering or a related field is preferred
  • Experience turning around troubled programs is preferred
  • Navy programs background is preferred
  • Experience in high-complexity, low-volume production is preferred
  • Track record of successfully managing and turning around struggling programs is preferred
