Job Summary
Newport News Shipbuilding (NNS) is seeking a Regulatory Compliance Analyst 2 to support regulatory compliance initiatives by interpreting and applying federal, state, and international regulations to business operations, products, financial processes, and corporate policies. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with government regulations, conduct audits and assessments, investigate compliance issues, and support regulatory reporting while collaborating across multiple business functions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret and apply federal, state, and international regulations to business operations and processes.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures.
  • Ensure company practices comply with applicable laws, regulations, and contractual requirements.
  • Monitor and support regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Investigate and resolve compliance issues, inquiries, and regulatory concerns.
  • Conduct compliance audits and assessments to evaluate adherence to government regulations.
  • Review and evaluate policies, procedures, and documentation for compliance.
  • Develop employee awareness and compliance training initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and government agencies regarding compliance matters.
  • Prepare reports and documentation supporting compliance activities.
  • Support continuous improvement of compliance programs and internal controls.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Legal Studies, Finance, Public Administration, or related field with 3+ years of relevant professional experience.

OR
  • Master's degree in a related field with 1+ year of relevant professional experience.

OR
  • 9 years as a qualified RCT at Newport News Shipbuilding.

Required Qualifications
  • Experience with Government Contracting
  • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
  • Knowledge of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)
  • Experience conducting compliance audits and assessments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment
  • High attention to detail
