Job description

At Ecowize North America, we go beyond cleaning food production facilities โ€” we safeguard public health and drive operational excellence. As part of our team, youโ€™ll join a mission-driven organization committed to food safety, innovation, and people development. If youโ€™re ready to lead, inspire, and make a measurable difference, this role is for you.

About the Role: Sanitation Site Manager

As a Sanitation Site Manager, youโ€™ll lead daily operations at one of our clientโ€™s food

production sites โ€” ensuring equipment is cleaned, sanitized, and safe for use by the

next shift. Youโ€™ll manage a team of sanitation professionals, uphold safety and food

safety standards, and partner closely with both your Area Manager and the clientโ€™s on- site leaders.

This role is handsโ€‘on, fastโ€‘paced, and purposeโ€‘driven โ€” perfect for someone who thrives

in operations, leads with integrity, and loves building highโ€‘performing teams.

What Youโ€™ll Do
  • Lead and Develop a Team: Train, coach, and support sanitation techs to follow safety protocols and sanitation SOPs while delivering quality work on time.
  • Oversee Daily Sanitation Operations: Manage disassembly, cleaning, sanitizing, reassembly, and chemical usage per USDA/FDA standards and siteโ€‘specific SSOPs.
  • Deliver Results: Meet siteโ€‘level KPIs and labor targets while maintaining high food safety and safety standards.
  • Own Compliance: Ensure audit readiness at all times, maintain accurate documentation, and support thirdโ€‘party and regulatory inspections.
  • Collaborate with Key Stakeholders:

Customer : Build trust with plant leadership by proactively communicating performance and aligning sanitation goals with production targets.

Engineering & Quality : Coordinate cleaning access and work through recurring issues with sanitation effectiveness, allergens, or hygienic design.

HR & Finance : Partner on hiring, training, and budgeting to ensure a productive, motivated, and rightโ€‘sized team.

  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify process gaps, implement efficiencies, and help elevate sanitation practices across the site.
What You Bring
  • Experience: 5+ years in a leadership role within a food processing sanitation environment.
  • Sanitation Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of GMPs, SSOPs, ATP/Preโ€‘Op Inspections, allergen control, and USDA/FDA requirements.
  • Safety Leadership: Familiarity with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Hazard Communication (HAZCOMM), PPE, and chemical safety.
  • Bilingual Fluency: English and Spanish preferred
  • Tech Fluency: Able to use digital tools (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace) for scheduling, documentation, and reporting.

Bonus if youโ€™ve led corrective action planning, audit support, or labor cost management

at the site level.

Key Competencies for Success
  • Operational Excellence: You can run a tight ship while keeping your team engaged and safe.
  • Accountability: You own outcomes and hold others to the same high standards.
  • People Leadership: You coach, motivate, and develop frontline teams with empathy and clarity.
  • Problemโ€‘Solving: You make sound decisions quickly, even under pressure or when faced with complexity.
  • Customer Focus: You build lasting partnerships with clients by delivering on your word and driving results.
What We Value

Partnership: You build trust by being transparent, dependable, and collaborative.

Excellence: You hold the bar high and help others reach it too.

Integrity: You do whatโ€™s right โ€” even when itโ€™s hard or inconvenient.

The Details
  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Location: On-site at a designated food production facility
  • Schedule: Day, night, or overnight shifts (varies by site); weekdays and weekends as needed
  • Work Environment: Includes physical work, exposure to sanitation chemicals, and adherence to all safety practices
  • Travel: Minimal, limited to local needs or training
What Youโ€™ll Get
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • Relocation assistance (if applicable)
  • Retirement plan options
Your Future Starts Here

At Ecowize, weโ€™re more than a vendor โ€” weโ€™re a vital part of our customers ' success.

And that starts with the people on our teams.

Whether youโ€™re building your career or ready to lead, this is a place where your work

matters. We train you, invest in your growth, and give you a clear path forward. We donโ€™t

just offer jobs โ€” we build futures.
