Now Hiring : Head Dental Assistant - Southern Pines

At Lane & Associates Family Dentistry, we love to make our patients smile, and that starts with you! We are seeking a dedicated Head Dental Assistant who is responsible for supporting the dentist in delivering exceptional patient care while supervising the clinical team and ensuring smooth daily operations. This role includes managing clinical inventory, training new team members, and serving as the OSHA and Radiation Safety Officer to uphold all safety and compliance standards.


Key Responsibilities

Daily, Weekly, and Monthly tasks include (but are not limited to):

  • Supervise and oversee the day-to-day workflow of clinical staff.

  • Place supply orders and monitor inventory usage to maintain proper stock levels.

  • Follow established budget protocols and maintain supply expenses within office budget.

  • Verify and submit all supply invoices to the Accounting Department.

  • Verify and submit lab invoices; communicate effectively with dental labs as needed.

  • Train, mentor, and support new clinical team members.

  • Serve as the OSHA & Radiation Safety Officer, ensuring full compliance.

  • Enforce OSHA regulations and Company Safety Policies & Procedures.

  • Support the retrieval of 5-Star Google Reviews by promoting excellent patient experiences.

  • Share clinical maintenance duties as required.

  • Perform all regular Chairside Dental Assistant duties.

  • Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
