Role Description:
As the Greenfield (Joint Trench) Program Manager, your role encompasses overseeing the complete development of the Joint Trench Greenfield program at GFiber, from its inception to its successful completion. You will play a pivotal role in driving cross-product and cross-team initiatives, collaborating closely with diverse team members and external partners to improve and optimize our projects. Additionally, you will be responsible for negotiating joint trench contracts with developers and/or joint trench contractors. This role will also be the company's point of contact for all in-market & business planning as it relates to new construction within the market. If you excel in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and possess a genuine drive to connect people through technology, this position is tailor-made for you.
In this role, you'll:
  • Responsible for supervising an entire market's or region's execution of Single Family Joint Trench Greenfield Construction from discovery through the joint trench as-built prior to hand-off to forward build teams.
  • Cultivate and maintain essential contacts, processes, and documentation related to developers, municipal and utility relationships, as well as internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proactively contact developers, builders, and contractors in the market, building and fostering relationships needed to ensure good business partnerships and GFiber participating in joint trench projects (including conduit delivery coordination)
  • Single point of contact for cross functional program leads, including national leadership teams encompassing sales, construction, and engineering.
  • Utilizes existing or modified GFiber systems for adequate tracking and staging of new projects to ensure transparent awareness of each project's status.

At a minimum, we would like you to have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of combined experience in network operations, network engineering, or network construction, or industry-facing roles (e.g., sales, program management, or vendor partnerships) with demonstrated knowledge of ISP (Internet Service Provider) builds, infrastructure deployment, and SFU (Single-Family Unit) Greenfield implementation.
  • Familiarity with GIS systems and the ability to interpret network documentation such as CAD files, Google Earth data, FTTH records, or as-built maps.
  • Experience working with Telecommunications Providers, Power Companies, or Cable Providers.

It's preferred that you have:
  • Experience working directly with home builders and developers for the purposes of joint trench participation by telecommunications companies.
  • 10 years of experience in network operations, network engineering, network construction, or industry-facing roles with exposure to technical infrastructure and customer requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; proven ability to represent the organization with external stakeholders.
  • Experience leading or contributing to cross-functional teams, external partners, and customer-facing initiatives.
  • Experience working with vendor management, customer engagement, or strategic partnerships in the telecommunications industry.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $136,000 - $149,600 + bonus + benefits. As pay varies by location, your recruiter will share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.
