Summary:

The Programmer Analyst V is a highly experienced technical leader responsible for directing the design, development, and implementation of complex software systems and enterprise applications.


Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Lead and oversee lower-level analyst/programmers and technical staff on large, complex development projects or multiple smaller initiatives simultaneously
  • Serve as the lead technical authority, guiding the design and development of complex applications where standard architectures or approaches may not apply
  • Consult with business leadership, user management, and technical teams to clarify program objectives, identify system challenges, and recommend innovative solutions
  • Direct the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, system design, coding, testing, implementation, and maintenance
  • Assign, coordinate, and review work of technical staff, ensuring quality, efficiency, and adherence to best practices and standards
  • Establish and enforce development standards, coding practices, and documentation protocols to ensure consistency and maintainability across systems
  • Provide advanced technical guidance and mentorship in complex programming techniques and system design

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Advanced proficiency in multiple programming languages
  • Comprehensive knowledge of enterprise systems, databases, and operating environments
  • Skilled with the following:
    • PL/SQL, Java, Javascript (REACT) in containerized cloud environments (e.g. Docker/Kubernetes/Google Cloud Platform)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in software development, programming, or systems analysis
  • Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages
