Job description

Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
  • 3 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, end-to-end, 0 to 1, etc).
  • Experience managing business through offers in the gaming industry.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience in the mobile or PC gaming industry.
  • Experience defining product goal and multi-year product strategy.
  • Strong track record of managing leadership buy-in, especially in complex organizations.
  • Strong track record of working with other functions and product teams.
  • Strong narrative and storytelling abilities for internal and external communications.

In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. You can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development.
One of the many reasons Google consistently brings innovative, world-changing products to market is because of the collaborative work we do in Product Management. Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.
In this role, you will manage in-game spend by recommending offers and in-game items to users. You will support Play's business goals, gamers globally, and the game developer ecosystem. Additionally, you will propose and drive new Play initiatives to achieve business growth goals, and solve problems for users, developers, and Play.
The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $192,000-$278,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities
  • Define product goal, multi-year strategy, and roadmap to drive Play's game business.
  • Build an understanding about user spend motivation, behavior, and needs, and about developer business goals and business generation strategies as foundation to connect the right games to the right users.
  • Define and build end-to-end user experience across Play surfaces and beyond.
  • Work with Engineers and Research teams to build state-of-the-art personalization models to recommend the right content to the right users at the right time through the right channel in their gaming journey.
  • Use AI to drastically improve the team velocity and deliver impact
