Located in Pueblo, Colorado, our Surgical Center operates in a bustling healthcare hub that prioritizes efficiency, compassion, and excellence. You will be joining a team that includes five physicians and five nurse practitioners dedicated to collaboration and high standards of patient care. The position encompasses a Monday to Friday schedule, requiring 40 hours of work per week, with an emphasis on achieving work-life balance for our employees.

• Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and assess patient histories to diagnose and manage health conditions.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including blood work, X-rays, and other imaging studies.
• Develop and implement a treatment plan for both chronic and acute health issues.
• Prescribe medications in accordance with established treatment protocols and ensure patient adherence to prescribed regimens.
• Maintain meticulous patient records and manage scheduling to ensure optimal facility operation.
• Engage with patients and their families to provide education regarding health conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures.
• Promote health and wellness initiatives, supporting community outreach efforts to enhance public health understanding.
• Participate in continued education and training to advance clinical knowledge and improve patient care practices.

As a Physician Assistant at Goodwill HealthCare, you will work with a diverse population that includes individuals seeking preventative care, management of chronic conditions, and acute medical attention. Your interactions will cover a wide range of cases in primary care, acute care, and surgery, ensuring a varied and enriching clinical experience.

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, with a Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies preferred.
• Certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) and a valid Colorado State Physician Assistant license.
• A DEA registration is required.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physician Assistant in clinical settings, preferably in primary care or surgical environments.
• Strong knowledge of health regulations, patient care principles, and clinical practices.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a dedication to patient-centered care.

• Experience in specific areas such as acute care, internal medicine, cardiology, or family health.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing our ability to connect with diverse patient backgrounds.
• A proven commitment to ongoing professional development through research and continuing education.

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 140,000 to 180,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition to competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
