IDD Clinical Services Nurse (Licensed Practical Nurse)
Full-Time, Salary $60,000-$65,000
GoodLife Innovations is seeking a Clinical Services Nurse to monitor and respond to health needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and other special needs. Are you a Licensed Practical Nurse and interested in supporting individuals with disabilities to lead meaningful and healthy lives? If so, read on!
As a Clinical Services Nurse, you will maximize the health of the people we serve by conducting a variety of assessments, monitoring health/dietary needs, and administering first aid and medications. You will provide training and ongoing support to direct care staff regarding medication and other health-related procedures. As a member of our Nursing team, you will participate in a rotating on-call schedule for after-hours or weekend nursing needs.
This nursing position earns a competitive annual salary of $60,000-$65,000. Some duties include:
  • Conducting physical assessments, monitoring health and dietary needs, and administering first aid, medications, and other health care procedures according to physician instructions
  • Promoting high-quality medication administration by training to promote low-error medication administration, developing and implementing best-practice medication administration procedures, and tracking/following up on medication errors
  • Coordinating healthcare appointments and accompanying persons served and staff at specialty healthcare appointments
  • Ensuring proper implementation of care and compliance with health-care policies/procedures by carrying designated company cell phone, responding to calls, and periodically serving as the designated on-call Nurse
Some qualifications:
  • Must have current and valid Kansas Licensed Practical Nurse license and Driver’s license
  • Experience working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, preferred
  • Ability to physically assist the individuals we serve with and without adaptive equipment
  • Strong computer skills (specifically with Google applications) and ability to learn and utilize computer-based health records systems
  • Flexibility in assigned working hours and location based on client needs
  • Ability to participate in a rotating on-call schedule for after-hours or weekend nursing needs
