Tradition offers an 18-hole course, 9-hole par 3 course, practice facilities, over 100 member and family events, full fitness facility, spa services, bocce ball, pickleball and many enriched programs and fun social events.

As a seasonal private club, we are looking to fill a full-time or part-time position from approximately October 2026 to June 2027. our busiest times are also some of our most exciting. Flexibility and availability during peak season, holidays, special events, tournaments, and other high-demand periods are important to the success of our team. We value team members who are dependable, adaptable, engaged, and ready to contribute wherever needed.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Fitness Instructor at Tradition Golf Club reports directly to the Director of Fitness and Spa. They will maintain order and continuity at the front desk and/or Fitness & Spa facility. The Fitness Instructor is responsible for the development, organization, and coordination of any and every member Fitness/Wellness need while working one on one with members or in a group setting. The #1 priority of the Fitness Instructor is the safety of both members and staff. The Fitness Instructor sets a positive tone for members and their guests and communicates clearly with members, staff and the Director of Fitness and Spa.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Reports for work in a well-groomed, tidy manner and in appropriate fitness attire. No clothing with political, religious or other slogans, verbiage or graphics
  • Greets each and every guest with a smile and direct eye contact
  • Goes the extra mile for members and guests
  • Ensures the Tradition Golf Club experience for all members and guests.
  • Has every personal training session client sign a liability waiver/intake form at the outset of a training program
  • Adheres to policies of the facility and Tradition Golf Club
  • Becomes knowledgeable about the facility, event calendar, and its amenities in order to effectively communicate with members and/or guests
  • Reports any incident or accident to the Director of Fitness and Spa
  • Uses time efficiently throughout session. Ensures proper coverage when necessary. I.e. sick day
  • Keeps area clear of clutter and personal effects and returns all equipment to its proper place
  • Informs co-worker(s) of pertinent information at the end of the session
  • Informs Director of Fitness and Spa of any member, guest, or facility issues
  • Take attendance during class to charge members accordingly
  • Assists staff with lifting and storing facility equipment, furniture, and products to help maintain facility and prepare for special events
  • Leadership - Maintain a positive, upbeat role, promote and exemplify Company values and represents departmental objectives and interests to internal and external customers
  • Customer Service - Follow up on complaints, questions, and concerns; respond to internal/external customer needs in a friendly, timely and efficient manner
  • Teamwork - Develop and promote teamwork and cooperation among co-workers
  • Safety - Comply with established safe work practices and attend to all safety-related training provided or made available by the Company

  • CPR/AED Certified
  • Nationally accredited Training Certification NASM, CSCS, ACE, AFAA, etc
  • Accredited class certification
  • Possess a valid Driver's License.

  • Familiar with fitness equipment, and machines.
  • Previous customer service experience preferred.

Required Licenses/Certifications
