Job Purpose
The Junior Golf Instructor supports the delivery of the junior golf program by assisting with instruction, on-course activities, and participant engagement. This role helps create a positive, structured, and safe learning environment while reinforcing golf fundamentals, etiquette, and sportsmanship.
Responsibilities
  • Assist the Junior Golf Director and PGA Junior Golf Instructors with group and individual lessons
  • Support assessment classes and skill evaluations for junior participants
  • Reinforce golf fundamentals, rules, etiquette, and sportsmanship
  • Assist with on-course instruction, supervision, and marshaling
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and positive environment for all participants
  • Support junior golf events, clinics, and program activities as needed
  • Follow established lesson plans and curriculum as directed by leadership
  • Work under the direction of the Junior Golf Director and/or General Manager, adhering to established program guidelines and instructional standards
  • Escalate program-related decisions, curriculum adjustments, and instructional changes to leadership as appropriate

Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of golf fundamentals, rules, and etiquette
  • Prior experience working with junior golf or in a coaching/instructional setting preferred
  • Professional or collegiate-level playing experience preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to take direction and work collaboratively within a structured program
  • Dependable, professional, and safety-conscious

Working Conditions
  • Outdoor golf course environment with exposure to varying weather conditions, including heat, sun, wind, and occasional rain
  • Schedule includes Thursdays from 2:00 PM - 7:30 PM, with additional weekday hours, evenings, and occasional weekends as needed for the program.
  • Requires prolonged standing, walking, and active movement across practice areas and the course
  • Frequent interaction with junior golfers, parents, and members in a fast-paced, service-focused environment

Compensation
  • $50 per hour
