Job description

Bethesda Country Club is hiring an Assistant Golf Course Mechanic to join our golf course maintenance team. This position offers the opportunity to maintain, repair, and diagnose a modern fleet of John Deere, Robotic mowers, and other turf equipment.$19-$24/hour depending on experienceDuties and Requirements:Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Maintain, inspect, service, and assist in the repair of golf course equipment under the direction of the Equipment Manager.Perform routine preventative maintenance including oil changes, lubrication, hydraulic fluid service, filter replacement, tire maintenance, battery service, and equipment cleaning.Assist with diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine-related issues on gasoline, diesel, and electric equipment.Maintain mowing equipment, reel adjustments, bedknife replacement, and set up. Experience with grinding is preferred but not required.Perform daily equipment inspections to ensure machines are operating safely and efficiently.Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop and parts inventory.Work effectively with the Head Equipment Manager and Golf Course Superintendent to prioritize equipment and repairs to minimize downtime.Ability to lift and move equipment parts weighing up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work from time to time.Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn new skills.This position requires overtime from time to time.
