Golf Course Maintenance Mechanic - Emerald Valley Golf and Resort

Emerald Valley Golf and Resort is seeking a full-time equipment mechanic who will be responsible to maintain the entire fleet in working order. As a vital person to our operation, we are seeking a mechanic who has a preventative approach to maintaining equipment. A person who is organized with their record keeping and maintains a safe environment in our 10,000 sq maintenance building. Join our team of hard-working staff who have helped make Emerald Valley a premier destination for golfers in the northwest.

Desirable qualities:

  1. Vital communication with the superintendent and staff
  2. Schedule, document, and coordinate all equipment services and repairs
  3. Manage a necessary inventory of service parts or supplies on a monthly basis
  4. Rebuild cutting units. With assistance, maintain sharp reels and knives daily (JD and Toro)
  5. Basic understanding of challenging electrical configurations when diagnosing problems
  6. Understanding hydraulic systems and observing potential hose and fittings problems
  7. Small engine tune-up and repair
  8. Gas and diesel engine maintenance and repair
  9. Basic welding and fabrication skills
  10. Willingness to observe the staff’s routines to properly clean and put away equipment
  11. Follow a monthly budgeted unleaded and diesel inventory, tracking and purchasing process
  12. Follow a monthly repair budget using a basic purchase order system and have the ability to forecast and communicate any necessary changes to the superintendent
  13. Participate in safety meetings
