POSITION SUMMARY:  
The Food and Beverage Food Runners’ first responsibility is to uphold the Martis Camp standard by ensuring quality service is delivered timely and professionally.  Confirming food orders are accurate, food leaving the window is precise and delivered to the correct table with appropriate markings.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Completing opening and closing duties timely and thoroughly
  • Provide service that is detailed, attentive and efficient
  • Checking accuracy and quality of food and beverage delivered
  • Sufficient knowledge of food menu and food allergies
  • Ability to multitask while working efficiently and in a fast-paced environment
  • Using proper serving techniques (example: serving open, marking, clearing)
  • Maintain food line while supporting the team, running food and drinks, clearing, and assisting where needed and when possible
  • Fulfill expo duties when needed
  • Assist with greeting members.
  • Attention to detail: lights, thoroughness, cleanliness, safety, etc.
  • Provide warm hospitality, professional service and assistance to all patrons
  • Be informed of and promote all club activities and services
  • Keep member satisfaction in mind when making all decisions
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Martis Camp standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the Club
  • Comply at all times with Martis Camp standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient Club operations
  • Perform other duties as required by your manager

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to interact and develop positive relationships within the organization.
  • Bilingual preferred (English / Spanish)
  • Maintain high ethical and moral standards.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and guest service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS, AND LICENSES:

  • Must be California Food Handlers Safe Certified or be able to obtain within 30 days

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: (with or without accommodations)

  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays
  • Must be open to occasional overtime in peak periods
  • Must be able to stand/walk for 8-10 hours at a time
  • Must be able to carry up to 30lbs
  • Must be able to repeatedly reach/bend/kneel/pull/push to assist with product storage, cleaning duties and food and beverage maintenance

WAGE AND BENEFITS:

  • Hourly wage of $17.00- $18.00 /hour plus gratuities
