About Cabot-Managed Properties

Since 2022, Cabot has managed the strategy and operations of four exceptional golf courses across the United States, including Cascata and Serket in Las Vegas, Nevada, Grand Bear in Saucier, Mississippi, and Chariot Run in Laconia, Indiana.

Position Overview

The Mechanic oversees the daily operations of equipment maintenance for the golf course.

Essential Functions

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Complete daily, weekly, and as-needed service to equipment and water treatment facility.

  • Keep maintenance records.

  • Maintain supplies and inventory for maintenance operations.

  • Troubleshoot problems that arise in the golf course and club.

  • Evaluate equipment and recommend maintenance, updates, and replacement as needed.

  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor or needs of the club.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Vo-tech or service training

  • Experience will all types of engine repair, hydraulic systems, mower maintenance, and troubleshooting.

  • Working knowledge of golf course equipment

In addition, the ideal candidate will be or have:

  • Two years of golf course maintenance

Physical Demands

The employee is occasionally required to sit, stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 50 pounds or less. The position requires manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures. The employee must be able to sit for long periods of time while driving golf course equipment.

Work Environment

This position will require regular exposure to the outdoors.
