About the Opportunity:
Chelsea Piers Golf Club is seeking to hire Front Desk Associates. There are full-time and part-time shifts available. This is an opportunity to be a key person on the front line of our business. Our goal is to consistently deliver safe, positive, and engaging customer experiences. Front Desk Associates work in a fast-paced team environment and may be called upon to handle various aspects of club operations. Chelsea Piers Golf Club is a community built on trust and teamwork; we want every member of our team to feel empowered to answer customer inquiries and problem solve to help us deliver excellent customer service every day.
As a Front Desk Associate, you will expected to:
Front Desk Responsibilities
  • Consistently greet all clients in person, via email, and over the phone
  • Stay up to date on and provide pertinent information to clients, vendors, and team members on specials, events, programming etc.
  • Effectively manage client inquiries through active listening and offering alternative options where applicable
  • Monitor visitor access and maintain security awareness
  • Actively engage and build positive relationships with members
  • Update and monitor the Dash point of sale program and NoWait Reservation System
  • Assist with administrative tasks and perform cashiering duties as needed
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace
  • Assist with events/Water Hazard service

Front Entrance Checkpoint Responsibilities
  • Proactively greet clients upon entry
  • Be mindful of capacity regulations and inform clients as needed
  • Capture clients' names and reservation time upon entry
  • Monitor the stalls and alert customer service when clients' sessions have lapsed

About You:
You are friendly, professional, and energetic. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and have excellent customer-service skills. You have:
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and enjoy working in an all-hands-on deck, team environment
  • Superior front line customer service skills (hospitality experience a plus)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to sell and recruit members on programming and membership opportunities
  • Systems knowledge with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and a willingness to learn new technology (Dash, NoWait etc.)
  • College BA or BS degree preferred
  • Ability to work nights and/or weekend shift
