Reports To: Director of Golf Club Operations

Position Summary

The Executive Chef is responsible for leading all culinary operations at CAVU Golf Club, including menu development, food quality, kitchen operations, financial performance, team leadership, and member dining experiences. As a key member of the Club's leadership team, the Executive Chef will create exceptional culinary experiences while fostering a culture of hospitality, teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Culinary & Member Experience

Develop and execute seasonal menus for the Club's dining operation, member events, and special functions.

Ensure exceptional food quality, presentation, consistency, and service standards.

Create innovative dining experiences including themed dinners, wine events, holiday programming, and special member functions.

Engage with members and guests to gather feedback and continuously enhance the dining experience.

Leadership & Team Development

Recruit, train, develop, and lead the culinary team.

Foster a positive, professional, and collaborative workplace culture.

Establish clear performance expectations and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.

Maintain staffing levels necessary to support Club operations and service standards.

Operations & Financial Management

Oversee all kitchen operations, including scheduling, purchasing, inventory management, sanitation, and food safety compliance.

Manage food and labor costs to achieve budgeted goals.

Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships.

Participate in annual budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives.

Collaboration

Partner closely with Food & Beverage and Club leadership to deliver exceptional member experiences.

Support tournaments, social events, and Club programming through effective planning and execution.

Contribute positively to the Club's leadership culture and strategic objectives.

Qualifications

Five or more years of culinary leadership experience in a private club, luxury resort, hotel, or upscale restaurant environment.

Demonstrated success leading a high-quality dining operation and special event culinary programming.

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Experience managing food and labor costs and departmental budgets.

Thorough understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.

Culinary degree and/or Certified Executive Chef designation preferred.
