Qualifications

The Copywriter combines creative storytelling, strategic communication, brand awareness, and operational adaptability to support the organization’s evolving marketing, advertising, promotional, regulatory, and guest communication initiatives across multiple enterprise brands and platforms.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, Journalism, English, Business or related field.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
  • Minimum 3 years of related experience in copywriting with solid portfolio work or a combination of experience and education.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills with familiarity in standard style guides, advertising, branding, digital marketing, and evolving content development trends.
  • Experience with content management systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, revisions, approvals, and multilingual communications simultaneously while maintaining brand consistency, tone, accuracy, and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Experience developing content for advertising, branding, digital marketing, promotions, public relations, social media, regulatory communications, and guest-facing materials with a strong understanding of marketing strategy, audience engagement, hospitality branding, and promotional messaging.
  • Must maintain professionalism, effective communication, and composure while interacting with guests, management, team members, and outside contacts in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Must be able to work in a casino resort environment requiring prolonged standing, walking, movement throughout the property, operation of standard office equipment, occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds, and exposure to environmental factors including smoke and noise.


Responsibilities

The Copywriter is responsible for developing, editing, proofreading, and maintaining written content and brand messaging across multiple enterprise departments, platforms, and communication channels. This role supports advertising, promotions, branding, public relations, regulatory documentation, guest communications, digital marketing, and operational initiatives while ensuring consistency, accuracy, engagement, and compliance. All duties are performed in accordance with departmental standards and Tribal Gaming Agency policies, practices, and procedures.

  • Develop written content across multiple enterprise brands including casino marketing, hotel, food & beverage, entertainment, resort amenities, Tribal enterprises, and community initiatives.
  • Draft, edit, proofread, and maintain promotional rules, regulatory collateral, disclaimers, operational communications, and compliance-sensitive materials.
  • Ensure consistent brand standards, tone, messaging, and voice across all advertising, promotional, digital, social, and guest-facing communications.
  • Assist in developing guest communication responses, reputation management messaging, and service recovery correspondence aligned with enterprise communication standards.
  • Collaborate with Creative Services, Marketing, and internal departments to interpret creative briefs, research target audiences, develop messaging concepts, and execute written content aligned with strategic campaign objectives.
  • Present, revise, and refine copy concepts and final deliverables based on internal feedback, operational needs, and brand standards.
  • Coordinate revisions, approvals, and content updates across internal departments while managing multiple deadlines and high-volume project requests.
  • Develop taglines, headlines, promotional messaging, and campaign language for advertising, digital, social, and guest-facing materials.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

This position operates in a dynamic resort and office environment and requires the ability to:

  • Move throughout the property as needed
  • Use standard office and design equipment
  • Work indoors with potential exposure to environmental factors common to a casino resort setting


The Casino & Resort will function seven days a week, 24 hours a day. We may find it necessary to re-schedule shifts according to our business volume. You must be willing and available to fulfill these demands.

While performing the duties of this job, the team member will be regularly required to walk, stand and sit. The associate will occasionally be required to climb and use balance. Additionally, the team member will frequently be asked to use hands and arms to carry and lift items. Specific vision abilities required to perform this job include close vision and distance vision.
While performing the duties of this job, the team member may experience temperature fluctuations and moderate to high levels of noise. This is a smoking environment.
