Role Objective

Cleaning & Sanitization (CNS) Technicians are responsible for cleaning, sanitizing and monitoring all production and storage equipment used in the manufacturing facility.  In this role you will ensure that the equipment utilized while making GOJO products is clean, sanitized, and safe for daily use. 

The purpose of a CNS Technician is to clean and sanitize all equipment used in the process and packaging of GOJO products.  These actions are performed using approved methods and chemicals and in a manner consistent with GOJO safety goals and/or policies, and complies fully with all applicable current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) requirements.  

This position fulfills a pivotal role; ensuring GOJO maintains the highest standards in the production of our products. 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Clean, sanitize, and prepare for storage assigned packaging equipment, transitory hoses, pumps, totes and fittings per established procedures
  • Perform visual inspection of tanks, piping, valves, and associated equipment to assure suitability for use
  • Transfer product from storage vessels to packaging equipment
  • Operate PLC/HMI (Programmable Logic Controller/Human Machine Interface) computer systems for equipment operation
  • Operate Hold Tank and Filler HMI Control Panels
  • Operate SAP to enter CNS Process Instructions sheets
  • Perform chemical testing to find detergent concentrations
  • Verifies the concentration and effectiveness of sanitizations
  • Certified to Perform Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) on Tank and Filler Equipment
  • Confined Space Trained and certified
  • OSHA certified in HAZWOPER training (Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response)
  • Certified to assist with the containment and clean-up of hazardous material spills
  • Perform preventive maintenance on diaphragm pumps as scheduled
  • Maintain and monitor necessary documentation for accuracy and completeness in accordance with cGMP requirements
  • Provide accurate and timely information to Process units and Packaging units related to product availability and fill tank status
  • Perform equipment disassembly and reassembly required for cleaning, sanitization, and inspection processes
  • Using high air pressure to clean out transfer lines
  • GOJO certified on Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT)
  • Operate PIT for equipment and product transport
  • Serve as back-up to other members of the team and assist with the orientation and training of new employees
Education and Experience
  • OSHA certified in HAZWOPER 

  • Cleaning experience, with the ability to work independently within a team environment.  

  • Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment, mechanically inclined and able to work with wrenches, hoses and other similar tools. 

  • Proficiency can be obtained through on-the-job training.
