International banking organization seeks a bilingual Japanese AVP to cover Operational Risk and front office compliance in New York City.<\/span>

Performs tasks concerning credit line management, prepares Customer \/ Account Profiles (existing and new accounts), maintains Global Market Unit (GMU) master list, and engages in administrative tasks including strategy meeting management.ย  <\/span>Assists with BSA\/AML, corporate and FATCA (foreign account tax compliance act) compliance for GMU.ย  <\/span>Liaison with Head Office.<\/span>

Duties and Responsibilities:<\/span><\/u>
<\/p>\n

  • Primarily responsible for preparing Customer \/ Account Profile for all GMU existing Customers and uploads on Surety system.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Primarily responsible for on\-boarding account opening process for adding proposed GMU Customers<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Performs Important Document Management, contract renewal and maturity tracking of GMU agreements<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Performs transactions \/ counterparties review and prepares monthly reports<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Performs \/ assists as an exchange market data administrator and reviews permission functions<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Acts as the designated responsible officer and ensures BSA\/AML, corporate and FATCA compliance by performing tasks stipulated in Treasury Compliance Procedures manuals and related manuals.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Performs operational risk management, manages Operational Enhancement Project Team, as well as developing better internal controls.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Reviews and pays GMU related invoices \/ subscriptions, prepares budget forecast for management.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Performs administrative tasks such as ensuring annual updates of GMU's procedures and policies, and track changes.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Assists with internal audit, FRB \/ NYSDFS examinations, and manages compliance testing.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Ensures proper credit line and counterparty management.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Liaison with Head Office.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Holds Front Office Risk Management & Administration Team seminar \/ training annually or as\-needed.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Abides by all compliance related procedures<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.<\/span>

    Requirements<\/h3>\n

    • Bilingu oral and written skills on a business level in both English and Japanese.<\/span>
      <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
    • Good PC skills. Microsoft Office Excel and Word required. Visual Basic Application, Access, and Power Point preferred.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/li>\n
    • ย <\/span><\/span>Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in finance, economics, data processing and programming with 3+ years of related experience<\/span>
      <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
    • ย <\/span><\/span><\/span>Knowledge and experience of FX, Derivatives, and other market products and services, preferred.<\/span>
      <\/span><\/li>\n
    • Knowledge of ISDA and CSA, preferred.<\/span>
      <\/span><\/li>\n
    • ย <\/span><\/span><\/span>Prior work experience in a financial institution, preferred.<\/span>

    • Cooperation to work with other coworkers in the GMU and other departments.<\/span>
