    Strong understanding of payment systems, cash positioning, and reconciliation processes.
    Experience administering bank relationships and managing bank account structures.

    Experience developing, implementing, and maintaining effective internal controls and procedures.

Work Experience & Education
    6-8 years of progressive experience in treasury operations, cash management, or banking within a regulated financial institution required.
    Experience with treasury systems implementations and process improvement initiatives preferred.
    Experience utilizing FedLine services preferred.
    Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required.
    Master's Degree (MBA or related field) preferred.
    Professional certification (e.g., CTP) preferred.

About the role:

The Assistant Vice President (AVP), Treasury Operations- GM Financial Bank is responsible for managing multiple treasury operations workstreams, including liquidity, payments, bank account administration, controls, and treasury process strategy, ensuring alignment to department and business goals. This role ensures effective liquidity management, timely execution of payments, and integrity of bank accounts and cash flows.  The AVP partners closely with internal stakeholders, banking partners, and senior leadership to define priorities, strengthen controls, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive operational and strategic improvements across Treasury Operations.

In this role you will:

  • Manage daily cash positioning, liquidity management, and short-term forecasting to ensure adequate funding for operational and strategic needs.
  • Oversee the accurate and timely execution of treasury transactions, ensuring service levels, control effectiveness, and risk mitigation across teams and processes 
  • Monitor and reconcile bank accounts to ensure accuracy, completeness, and account integrity standards across Treasury Operations.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies related to treasury, liquidity, capital, and risk management.
  • Direct strategic bank relationship activities, including account management, signatory governance, bank services, and ongoing communication with financial institutions.
  • Perform analysis of bank fees and services to optimize cost efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Provide analysis and recommendations that inform liquidity, cash utilization and treasury related strategic decisions. 
  • Assist in implementing new banking services, systems, and operational enhancements that affect multiple workstreams.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance treasury procedures and internal controls.
  • Drive treasury transformation initiatives that improve efficiency, automation, scalability, and control effectiveness across multiple operational areas.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and ensuring adherence to established controls.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on improvement opportunities that directly impact Treasury Operations and dependent business areas.
