Job Description
Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) ManagerAbout the Role

Allied Universal® Enhanced Protection Services is seeking an experienced Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) Manager to join our Risk and Consulting Group. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing global security operations, driving strategic initiatives, and leading a high-performing, shift-based team that protects employees, contractors, visitors, and corporate assets.

The GSOC Manager plays a critical role in maintaining a safe, secure, and resilient environment by leading security operations, managing critical incidents, developing policies and procedures, and implementing technology and process improvements. This position requires a strategic leader who can balance operational excellence with long-term program development in a fast-paced, global environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) and provide strategic direction for a shift-based security team.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain GSOC policies, procedures, and operational standards.
  • Support enterprise threat intelligence efforts by utilizing the intelligence cycle to deliver accurate, timely, and actionable intelligence to stakeholders.
  • Recruit, coach, mentor, and develop GSOC personnel while driving performance management and career development initiatives.
  • Manage staffing levels, shift coverage, and operational readiness across all GSOC functions.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives and manage short- and long-term security projects.
  • Foster strong partnerships with internal business units and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee the implementation of security technologies and business processes that improve operational efficiency.
  • Develop strategic plans that support organizational growth, evolving business needs, and continuous enhancement of GSOC capabilities.
  • Build and lead high-performing teams focused on life safety, physical security, business continuity, and organizational resilience.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational effectiveness and client expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with client policies and procedures while coordinating rapid notifications through mass communication platforms.
  • Lead enterprise-wide detection, monitoring, and coordinated response to physical security, safety, and business continuity incidents.
  • Develop operational metrics, reporting, and performance dashboards.
  • Provide guidance and support to field security personnel, site security facilitators, and program stakeholders.
  • Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in security operations center management.
Required Qualifications

Candidates must meet one of the following educational requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or a related field; or
  • High school diploma (or equivalent) with a minimum of seven (7) years of professional security experience.

Additionally, candidates must possess:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in corporate security or a related security leadership role.
  • Minimum of two (2) years managing all aspects of a corporate Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) or similar control center.
  • Extensive experience with access control systems, video management platforms, and incident management software.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Security alarm monitoring
    • Dispatch operations
    • Resource coordination
    • Stakeholder communications
    • Performance metrics and reporting
    • Travel safety and security
    • Critical incident response
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong planning, organizational, leadership, and decision-making abilities.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation.
  • Proven ability to build relationships across diverse teams and cultures.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple competing demands in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Public Safety, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
  • Military, intelligence, or law enforcement experience.
  • Professional security certifications such as:
    • Certified Protection Professional (CPP)
    • Physical Security Professional (PSP)
    • Certified Emergency Manager (CEM)
