About the Team The Global Public Policy & Government Affairs team's work spans across a broad and diverse range of functions and workstreams, including government affairs and government relations; policy and issue area expertise; risk and crisis management and mitigation; outreach, coalitions, and partnerships; and philanthropy. The mission of the Global Public Policy & Government Affairs team is to prevent, manage, and mitigate political, legislative, and regulatory threats to TikTok and to promote a political, legislative, and regulatory environment that supports growth and innovation for our business. As a project intern, you will have the opportunity to engage in impactful short-term projects that provide you with a glimpse of professional real-world experience. You will gain practical skills through on-the-job learning in a fast-paced work environment and develop a deeper understanding of your career interests. Successful candidates must be able to commit to an onboarding date in 2026 Fall. Please state your availability and graduation date clearly in your resume. Candidates can apply to a maximum of two positions and will be considered for jobs in the order you apply. The application limit is applicable to TikTok and its affiliates' jobs globally. Responsibilities: This internship provides students the opportunity to join one of our Public Policy teams where you will have the opportunity to - Track relevant legislation at the Federal and State levels; - Monitor legislative hearings relevant to tech policy; - Draft memorandums and documents related to Federal and State legislation and tech-related updates; - Attends tech-related events; - Assist the Public Policy team in reaching policymakers; - And generally working with the Public Policy team to advance the goals of the company.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: - Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in public policy, political science or a related tech-policy discipline - Experience on the hill with writing experience. - Able to commit to working for 14 weeks for either a Fall or Spring position and work onsite 4-5 days/week. As a condition of employment, all successful candidates must be able to establish authorization to work in the United States. For this position, the Company does not provide sponsorship or any immigration-related benefits.

[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (Hourly) - Campus Intern - Washington, DC
The hourly rate range for this position in the selected city is 27- 27.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Interns have day one access to health insurance, life insurance, wellbeing benefits and more. Interns also receive 10 paid holidays per year and paid sick time (56 hours if hired in first half of year, 40 if hired in second half of year).
