Job description

Job Summary:
The Lubrizol Corporation is a leader in specialty chemistry solutions, and they are seeking a Global Product Management Leader for their Engineered & Medical Polymers division. This role involves heading the global product management team, managing product portfolios, developing strategies aligned with business goals, and ensuring compliance with product safety regulations.
Responsibilities:
• Develop global product line strategies that are aligned with business strategy, strategic marketing and technology development roadmaps.
• Manage product portfolio and product life cycle to maximize financial performance and competitive effectiveness of the portfolio.
• Use margin velocity as a tool to actively manage complexity and lift margin at seven EP&MS plants globally.
• Train, coach and apply economic analysis mindset in business analytics and decision-making Play one of the gatekeeper role for PPMP and new product addition.
• Champion product line through proactive communication and drive continuous improvement mindset.
• Execute and implement changes to ensure products are complaint with regional and global product safety regulation.
• Assist customers and suppliers with product safety and regulation needs.
• Product pricing strategy for new product launches and current business.
• Establish pricing guideline based on cost, value proposition and competitive positioning.
• Develop analytical framework for pricing analysis to identify pricing leakage and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with operation and SC team on asset strategy.
• Work with all the functions to identify continuous improvement and productivity opportunities.
• Collaborate with operation and SC to develop asset plan that can support business growth in the most efficient way.
• Product quality improvement.
• Develop baseline understanding of quality issues.
• Develop and execute plan to improve quality performance.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, finance or engineering degree preferred.
• Minimum 10-15 years of experience in operations, product management, strategic marketing or business management.
• Strong business and financial acumen and analytical capability, and can coach and train team to use economic analysis to drive data-based decision making.
• Ability to use problem solving framework to conduct RCA and develop corrective actions and coach the team to do the same.
• Strong communicator, ability to lead through influence and stakeholder management.
• Effective leadership in complex organizations, Results and execution driven, Strong analytical and business acumen and timely and common-sense driven decision making.
• Proficiency with analysis using tools such as SAP, Power BI, Vendavo, Excel preferred.
