Your Role
  • Leadership of global packaging projects from the development of innovative packaging solutions through to implementation at production sites
  • Technical ownership of packaging compliance and sustainability topics, with a particular focus on the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) and relevant international packaging requirements
  • Development and maintenance of packaging standards across the entire packaging lifecycle, ensuring compliance with legal, customer, and internal requirements
  • Establishment and management of processes for packaging data collection, recyclability assessments, technical documentation, and supplier compliance information
  • Close collaboration with Regulatory Affairs, Procurement, Operations, and IT to develop and maintain packaging compliance systems, reporting structures, and packaging master data
  • Ensuring technical feasibility of packaging solutions with regard to production, filling, logistics, and transportation
  • Continuous evaluation and optimization of packaging solutions in terms of recyclability, sustainability, cost, quality, and operational efficiency
  • Monitoring of regulatory developments, industry trends, and emerging packaging technologies, translating insights into actionable business strategies
  • Subject matter expert support for customer discussions and solution-oriented handling of packaging-related inquiries and complaints
Your Profile
  • Successfully completed degree in Packaging Technology, Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a comparable field
  • Several years of experience in packaging development, packaging engineering, packaging compliance, or a related technical function
  • In-depth knowledge of packaging materials, packaging systems, and packaging manufacturing processes
  • Extensive experience in packaging sustainability, recyclability assessments, PPWR, EPR, packaging regulations, or related compliance requirements
  • Significantadvantage: experience with packaging data management, SAP, or other packaging compliance systems
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical technical solutions
  • Proactive, structured, and solution-oriented working style, complemented by excellent communication skills and a hands‑on mentality
  • Fluency in German and English, written and spoken
