Job description

WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH
You will join Nike's product creation team, a connected group shaping apparel at the intersection of sport, culture, and performance. This role partners daily with Product Management, Design, Development, Merchandising, Sports Marketing, Brand, and external athlete teams. You will collaborate across a highly matrixed global organization and report into product leadership without direct reports.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Nike is looking for a driven, strategic product leader who leads through influence and thrives in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment. This individual understands athletes, consumers, and culture-and knows how to translate insight into distinctive product narratives that scale globally.
This role requires a leader who can operate at the intersection of creativity and business-balancing athlete vision, consumer relevance, and commercial performance. You bring a strong product point of view, deep understanding of the apparel creation process, and the ability to navigate complexity across a global portfolio.
You are comfortable operating in moments that carry significant visibility and expectation-where decisions directly impact brand perception, athlete relationships, and the future trajectory of the business. You demonstrate sound judgment, high accountability, and the ability to drive clarity in ambiguous situations.
You build trust quickly across diverse teams and external partners. You communicate with clarity, operate with confidence, and push for excellence across every step of the product lifecycle. Deeply connected to sport and culture, you bring authenticity, curiosity, and a relentless focus on delivering product that defines the standard for the industry.
  • A minimum of 5 years of directly relevant work experience in product management, merchandising, or consumer-related roles
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Product Development, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and experience accepted
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the apparel marketplace, alongside a strong pulse on culture and fashion
  • Creativity and passion for product, trend, fashion, color, fit, and style
  • Demonstrated fluency in the basketball consumer - their lifestyle, aesthetic preferences, fit expectations, and how they shop across performance and lifestyle
  • Proven ability to manage an apparel category end-to-end and drive multi-season strategy - from long-range vision and line architecture to seasonal execution and in-market performance
  • Proven experience leading complex, high-visibility product lines with global reach and significant business impact
  • Demonstrated ability to translate athlete, consumer, and marketplace insights into clear product strategies and narratives
  • Deep understanding of the end-to-end product creation process, from concept through commercialization
  • Strong ability to operate within a matrixed organization and influence cross-functional partners to drive alignment and execution
  • Advanced business acumen, including line planning, retail math, and product performance analysis
  • Exceptional communication, storytelling, and presentation skills with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple timelines, priorities, and stakeholders in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 30%

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON
You will lead the apparel product vision for signature athletes and key basketball styles. You'll connect consumer and athlete insights to strategy, shape seasonal product, and drive execution across teams to deliver product that reflects both the voice of the athlete and the future of sport.
  • Partner daily with Design, Development, Merchandising, Sports Marketing, and Brand to bring product concepts to life
  • Collaborate with external athlete teams to translate authentic insights into compelling product narratives
  • Lead product creation from concept through execution, ensuring alignment on timelines, goals, and deliverables
  • Build and manage line plans while driving seasonal strategies across assigned categories
  • Align internal and external stakeholders through clear communication and strong relationship building
  • Monitor marketplace trends and consumer insights to inform future opportunities
  • Drive progress across high-visibility apparel lines, ensuring product excellence and on-time delivery
