Job description

Global Advanced Metals,  the world’s leading suppliers of tantalum products are accepting resumes for  Production Operators . Tantalum is strategically important mineral with about half the world’s supply used in electronic products such as tablets, smart phones, digital cameras and electronic systems for vehicles. Our headquarters are located in the Northeastern United States with operations in Japan, Australia and Pennsylvania.

* Starting GAM rate: $27.58/ hour

* Work 7 nights & get 7 nights off once trained - potentially work only 26 out of 52 weeks per year!

Training is Monday-Friday, 7am-3pm. Once trained, you will be assigned to a 12 hour shift which runs from 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am, Thursday-Wednesday. *Must be available to work both day and overnight shifts.

Successful candidates are expected to perform the following:

  • Adhere to Safety, Health and Environment policies and procedures. Ability to work safety with hazardous materials.
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions. Complete necessary forms, charts, etc. to document the process. Respond appropriately to process variations.
  • Daily inspection of equipment and regular housekeeping is required. Troubleshoot equipment as needed and perform preventative maintenance.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Required to perform necessary labeling and handling of the material
  • Standing and handling coils/rods for shift duration
  • Standing and lifting 50 Ibs materials for shift duration
  • Walking up and down platforms
  • Operate forklift and other motorized transportation equipment as necessary.

Requirements Include: Previous manufacturing experience, preferably in a Chemical Manufacturing environment; ability to read and follow operating procedures and work instructions; ability to follow precise standards; ability to work with others. 

  • High school or equivalent
