Job description

Commercial Glazing Contractor currently seeking experienced Lead Glaziers, Carpenters, and Glaziers Helpers/Apprentices.

Diamond Architectural Glass is a well-established and family-oriented local business that has provided commercial glazing services since 1983. People, Quality, and Service are our foundation. About the position: We have immediate openings for Glaziers, Carpenters, Apprentices, Field Superintendents, Fabricators and Glazier's Helpers. If you have installation experience, this could be a perfect fit! In this position, you will work with a small team while installing aluminum storefront, curtain-wall, and entrance systems. Your responsibilities will include Measure, cut and fabricate Storefronts and Curtain Walls. Load, deliver and install aluminum framing. Install Insulated Glass Units into storefronts and curtain walls. Install aluminum panels. Set doors and adjust closures. Caulk storefronts and curtain walls. Shear, Bend and install break metal..

You will be directed by our experienced Project Managers. To be successful in this position, you must be committed to safety and quality and a team-player.

Responsibilities - Glazier (including, but not limited to):

  • Work with glazing teams in the field (typically 2-person, up to 4)
  • Installation of storefront, curtain wall and entrance systems
  • Installation of glass and other glazing materials
  • Installation of glazed canopies, skylights, glass guardrails, mirrors, glass marker boards, etc.
  • Installation of hardware and other materials associated with the above items
  • Fabrication of systems as needed

Qualifications and Requirements - Glazier, Carpenter, Apprentice (including, but not limited to):

  • Storefront experience helpful.
  • Interpret blueprints
  • Driver’s license/good driving record
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Commitment to safety and quality
  • Occasional paid training
  • Able to work safely at heights (low-rise), indoors/outdoors, throughout the year
  • Able to lift and carry about 75-100 lbs
  • Overtime
  • Occasional travel
