Fioneer FPSL Consultant
Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
1. Practical End to End Implementation experience with:
• SAP Fioneer FPSL (Banking context)
• FPSL Data Model, Data Mapping
• Accounting
• SAP S/4HANA Finance integration
2. Strong understanding of:
• Banking products accounting
• Event based / transaction based accounting concepts
3. Good working knowledge of:
• IFRS 9 fundamentals (implementation perspective)
4. Analytical and problem solving mindset
5. Ability to work under guidance of Finance Lead / Architect
6. Clear communication with Finance Business and IT stakeholders
7. Good to SAP S/4HANA ABAP Skills
Roles & Responsibilities
1. FPSL Functional Configuration (Banking)
• Configure FPSL objects for banking products including but not limited to:
• Loans and advances, Deposits, Money market instruments, Securities / bonds (if in scope)
• Implement FPSL components:
• Contract types and contract attributes
• Event types and event processing
• Posting schemas and accounting determinations
• Data Model and Data Mapping
• SDL, DLL, RDL,
• Support setup of:
• Subledger accounting layers/ sub-ledger postings
• Accounting principles / ledgers
• Accounting treatment/accounting entries
• Valuation areas
2. Accounting & IFRS 9 Support
• Implement FPSL accounting logic aligned to:
• IFRS 9 classification (AC / FVOCI / FVTPL)
• Effective Interest Rate (EIR) based accruals
• Fee and charge handling
• Support postings related to:
• Initial recognition
• Accruals and amortization
• Derecognition events
• Assist Finance Lead/Architect in validating:
• Accounting outcomes
• Posting results at contract and GL level
3. Integration Support (Source Systems & S/4HANA)
• Support inbound integration from:
• Core banking systems
• Treasury / trading platforms
• Assist with:
• Event payload validation
• Attribute mappings and enrichments
• Support outbound integration to:
• SAP S/4HANA Universal Journal
• Validate:
• Document splitting
• GL account derivations
• Posting completeness and consistency
4. Testing, Reconciliation & Defect Resolution
• Execute and support:
• Unit Testing (UT)
• System Integration Testing (SIT)
• User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Perform and support reconciliations:
• Source system vs FPSL
• FPSL subledger vs SAP GL
• Analyze and resolve:
• Posting errors
• Accounting mismatches
• Integration defects
• Support parallel run activities with legacy subledgers
5. Documentation & Knowledge Transfer
• Prepare functional deliverables including:
• Configuration documents
• Test scripts and test evidence
• Mapping and reconciliation documents
• Support:
• Knowledge transfer to client teams
• Go live readiness and hypercare activities
Salary Range- $110,000-$130,000 a year
