Claims and Risk Management Manager


Purpose

The Hybrid Safety & Claims Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and supporting company-wide safety programs while overseeing general liability (GL) and auto claims management across branch operations. This role partners closely with field leadership, Human Resources, insurance carriers, and brokers to reduce operational risk, improve claim outcomes, and strengthen compliance and safety culture across the organization.

Working under the direction of the Director of Technical Field Operations, this role plays a critical part in building scalable safety programs, analyzing claims trends, supporting incident resolution, and ensuring field operations align with company standards, regulatory requirements, and risk management best practices. WC claims support responsibilities will be limited and provided only as requested in partnership with HR.


Key Contributions

Safety Program Management & Compliance

· Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining company safety policies, procedures, and training programs across field operations.

· Partner with operational leadership to reinforce a safety-first culture through coaching, communication, and proactive risk mitigation initiatives.

· Conduct safety audits, documentation reviews, and operational assessments to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

· Identify safety trends, recurring risks, and operational gaps, and recommend corrective actions and preventative measures.

· Support ongoing improvement of fleet safety, vehicle compliance, and field safety initiatives.


Claims Management & Risk Mitigation

· Manage and resolve General Liability (GL) and Auto claims in partnership with insurance carriers, brokers, and internal stakeholders.

· Serve as the primary liaison between the company, insurance carriers, third-party administrators, and brokers regarding GL and 


Auto claims activity.

· Investigate incidents, gather documentation, coordinate statements, and support timely claim resolution.

· Analyze and trend claims data to identify recurring issues, operational risks, and cost-reduction opportunities.

· Prepare regular reporting and insights on claims activity, loss trends, and risk exposure for leadership review.

· Support Workers’ Compensation (WC) claims administration only as requested in partnership with Human Resources.


Training & Operational Support

· Support branch leadership and field teams through safety education, coaching, and reinforcement of operational best practices.

· Assist with onboarding and ongoing safety training initiatives for technicians and field leaders.

· Partner with operational leadership to roll out new safety processes, reporting procedures, and compliance initiatives.

· Support incident response and corrective action planning following safety events or claims activity.


Performance Monitoring & Reporting

· Track and report on key safety and claims KPIs including incident frequency, claim severity, claim closure timelines, vehicle incidents, and compliance metrics.

· Provide regular updates to leadership regarding safety trends, claims performance, and opportunities for operational improvement.

· Assist branches in maintaining audit readiness and compliance documentation standards.

 Required Qualifications

· Experience managing General Liability and Auto claims

· Strong understanding of workplace safety standards, compliance requirements, and incident investigation practices

· Experience partnering with insurance carriers, brokers, and third-party administrators

· Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

· Ability to travel regularly within assigned regions


Preferred Qualifications

· ACE Certification (or ability to obtain)

· Experience in pest control, home services, or field service operations

· Workers’ Compensation claims exposure or coordination experience

· Experience in multi-branch or multi-state operations

· Background in PE-backed or high-growth service organizations

· OSHA certifications or other relevant safety certifications preferred
