Plant Helper - Crane Operator
Job Description Summary
Responsible for safe crane operations and transportation of molten metal and processed/finished material.
Job Description:
Follow all Hoeganaes safety, quality and environmental policies and procedures. Follow job specific Work Instructions which pertain to the job assignment.
Operate all crane equipment moving steel and processed/finished material.
Operate mobile equipment.
Communicate via two-way radio.
Maintain a safe and clean work area.
Notify supervision of abnormal conditions, keep logs on all equipment, and maintain daily check lists.
Perform all tasks requested by the Supervisor and/or other management personnel.
Required Skills and Education
High School Diploma or GED.
2-5 years of previous crane operation experience in an industrial or construction setting is preferred.
Ability to work overtime on short notice is required.
Good communication skills - written and verbal
