Understanding this difference helps clarify whether you're seeking casual inspiration or professional makeup services.

What does it mean to have a 'girly' job or be described as 'girly' in the workplace?

The term 'girly' is often used informally to describe roles, behaviors, or interests that are stereotypically associated with femininity, such as fashion, beauty, or childcare jobs. However, it's important to note that 'girly' is not an official job title and can be seen as outdated or limiting, as it relies on gender stereotypes. In professional contexts, it's best to use specific job titles like 'fashion designer' or 'makeup artist' rather than referring to a role as 'girly.' Emphasizing skills and qualifications over gendered descriptors helps create a more inclusive workplace.
