As an Instructor at Fork Union, you will teach, mentor, and lead young men in an environment that values discipline, integrity, and personal growth. Our faculty are passionate professionals who see teaching as a calling-those who thrive here find purpose in shaping both intellect and character.

Position Summary

  • Develop and maintain a structured, well-managed classroom environment that encourages learning, participation, and student success.
  • Use a variety of instructional methods to develop cadets' German communication skills and cultural understanding.
  • Work toward the academic and overall success of each cadet, encouraging consistent improvement and achievement.
  • Provide timely and complete grades, administrative reports, and professional responses to requests from parents.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and participate in ongoing individual and shared professional development.
  • Fulfill faculty responsibilities, including weekly chapel attendance, beginning each class day with a devotional, and serving as an advisor to an assigned group of cadets.
  • Support Academy standards regarding professional appearance, conduct, decorum, and timely completion of assigned duties.
  • Understand and support the Virginia Association of Independent Schools Standards of Accreditation as they apply to instruction and faculty responsibilities.
  • Maintain required professional credentials or a current teaching license.
